Kevin Durant Signs Four Year, $164 Million Deal With Nets
Prince George’s own Kevin Durant will head to New York to play with the Brooklyn Nets, according to a late breaking announcement by the NBA star June 30.
Durant brings star power to the big city. He’s made the All-NBA first team six times. With the Golden State Warriors, he earned two straight NBA championships and made it to the finals this year before losing to the Toronto Raptors.
He will play in New York alongside Kyrie Irving. It has been reported that Irving will settle into the Big Apple for four years at $141 million.
The 6’9 forward tore his Achilles tendon late in the 2019 season and is expected to miss the 2019-20 season.
Durant previously let go a $31.5 million player option on his contract with The Warriors.
