County Residents Take Aim At New Budget
Prince George’s County Council Hosts FY22 Budget Hearings
County residents voiced their interests and how County funds should be allocated for FY 22 at a May 5 Prince Georges County Council budget hearing.
For many who attended or participated, the primary concern included directing funds toward mental health, nonprofit organizations support and education issues.
Tyesha Barber and Rosalyn Caesar spoke on behalf of youth and senior services in Prince George’s. Other organizations such as Casa of Prince Georges County Habitat for Humanity, the Adelphi Community Association, Harvest Ministries and the Greater Washington Community Foundation all had representatives in attendance voicing their requests for funding support for their nonprofit organizations.
